How many treatments do I need?
​
We recommend a minimum of 6 to 8 treatments every 5 weeks along with the prescribed skin care for home use for enhanced results.
For acne scarring, treatments are performed every 10 weeks.

How does it work?
​
The Dermafix™ device uses very fine sterile needles that create hundreds of micro-channels into the skin. This activates the natural wound healing response from the body. Even though the wound is minuscule, each wound goes through the 3 classic phases of healing as any wound would and as a result, new collagen and elastin fibres are formed plumping out the skin.

Another great advantage with this treatment is the delivery of active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin, enhancing results even further. The tiny open channels created by the device allows up to 80% more product into the skin compared to 7-10% with normal topical application.
We work with sterile serums specifically formulated to be deposited into the skin via the microneedling procedure. These serums also target specific skin concerns and can be combined, creating your own bespoke skin cocktail.

Are there any side effects?​
​
Most people show mild to moderate redness that becomes less visible day after day. Skin will be sensitive for the first 2 to 3 days as if you have had a sunburn. If redness is not an issue for you, you can resume your daily activities the following day.
Does it require any preparation beforehand?

Yes, you will need to prepare your skin with the prescribed products for a minimum of 3 weeks. This will be discussed with you during your consultation.
